Highlights

Our captivating “Easter in Patagonia” tour offers you an incredible opportunity to explore both sides of the Paith in Welsh Patagonia. We begin in the picturesque Chubut Valley, where the Welsh settlers established themselves on the banks of the Chubut River back in 1865. The journey then takes us to the enchanting Cwm Hyfryd, nestled in the majestic Andes Mountain range. At Teithiau Patagonia, we take pride in offering private, small group tours with a maximum of 20 participants. Our carefully curated activities are organized by locals, ensuring an authentic experience. You’ll have the unique opportunity to meet and socialize with the Patagonians of Welsh descent, conversing and even singing in Welsh! Don’t worry if you’re not fluent in Welsh or are still learning, as our friendly and knowledgeable group leaders are fluent in English, Welsh, and Spanish. They will be available to assist you throughout the journey. During the tour, you’ll have the privilege of visiting the renowned penguin reserve of Punta Tombo and immersing yourself in the rich history of Y Wladfa by exploring historic buildings that played a significant role. We’ll also venture to the breath-taking Los Alerces National Park, where nature’s wonders await, and discover the charming town of Esquel with its blend of old and modern architecture. The prices for our Easter in Patagonia tour include international and internal flights, comfortable accommodations with breakfast, private transfers, a wide range of activities, and an additional meal per day, in addition to breakfast. Here are the highlights of this tour:

  • The months of March and April in Patagonia mark the transition from summer to autumn. The weather is mild to warm, similar to our summer in Wales (although with less rain)!
  • Opportunity to see Penguins at Punta Tombo! This renowned wildlife reserve is recognized as the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in the world. It offers a unique opportunity to observe and interact with these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
  • Welsh Schools visits: You’ll have the chance to visit Welsh schools where the children are taught Welsh through Spanish. Witnessing the children singing Welsh songs in such a remote part of the world is an experience that will stay with you forever.
  • This group tour is limited to a maximum of 20 people, ensuring a small and exclusive group setting.
  • Our trips are bilingual (Welsh-English), allowing travellers who are learning Welsh to practice with more confidence. You can also learn a little Spanish during the tour.
  • Our Tour Leader is fluent in all three languages (Welsh, Spanish, and English), providing better assistance with the Spanish language if needed.
  • Your Patagonian tour leader will be with the group full-time during your time in Patagonia, while expert guides in Buenos Aires will take care of you in the capital city.
  • We organize meals with the local community, giving you the opportunity to get to know the Welsh people of Patagonia closely, learn about the day-to-day life of Welsh-Argentinean families, sing in Welsh, and enjoy a glass of wine in a family atmosphere.
  • Argentina is famous for its barbecues (Asado), so you can expect plenty of delicious food! If you have any specific dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.), just let us know, and we’ll take care of it.
  • Our trip includes everything mentioned in the itinerary: international flights, two internal flights, all transfers, all activities, guiding, hotels with breakfast included. We also provide at least one additional meal per day within the package.
